Cornerstone Award

2009 Cornerstone Nomination Form (.pdf)

2009 Cornerstone Award Nominations

The Builders Exchange Cornerstone Award was created in 1954 to honor an individual who exemplifies outstanding service and commitment to the local construction industry and community. Since that time, 54 professionals have been recognized with the industry’s highest leadership honor.

Nominees are rated on several criteria including:

  • their level of BX participation

  • their community involvement

  • their impact on the local commercial construction industry

  • years of service to the industry

  • professionalism and ethics

If you know someone who meets these criteria, take just a few moments to complete the nomination form so that they may be considered for our 2009 Award. Nominations must be submitted to the BX by Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009.

If your nominee is selected as a finalist by the Cornerstone Committee, you will be asked to visit briefly with BX staff members during the month of January to share more information regarding the candidate’s qualifications for the award. (Please note that individuals currently serving on the Builders Exchange Board of Directors or the Cornerstone Nominating Committee will not be considered for the award.)

The 55th recipient of the Builders Exchange Cornerstone Award will be announced in March 2009, with the presentation of the award scheduled as part of the 2009 BX Annual Meeting on November 19.

For more information about the Cornerstone Award, please contact Deb Murphy at the Exchange.
