Kraig Coe was responsible for the quality and accuracy of the installation of the new bread basket conveying and packaging system for the Kroger Bakeries. The installation of power distribution, control panels, conduit and wiring for photo eyes, limit switches, conveyer motors and other control devices were required for the new line. Coe created the conduit and wiring schedules based on a general arrangement drawing. He supervised a crew of seven men for six weeks. The installation was completed with no loss time and the existing production lines were still operating on a daily basis. The bakery was running at full capacity during the conversion of the old system to the new installation. All of the device brackets were fabricated on-site. Even with the compressed schedule and the 700 wires that were pulled and terminated, Coe was able to create a flawless check-out. Coe has been employed with The Superior Group for the past five of his 24 years in the industry. He is a member of the Electrical Workers Union Local 683. Engineer: AMF
Bakery Systems Coe is a first-time Craftsmanship Award winner. He became interested in the industry after completing an apprenticeship program. | Back to Craftsmanship Main Page | | Back to BX Home Page | Updated 8/11/2005 |
