Pay less for your electricity

The Exchange is proud to announce our newest partner-in-service, Volunteer Energy Services, Inc., offering a special commercial rate to BX member firms.

If you’re a business customer of AEP, you can save substantially on your company’s electricity. Volunteer Energy, working with FirstEnergy Solutions, can reduce your electricity cost by 20% or more.

Here’s how it works:

FirstEnergy Solutions is certified by the PUCO to supply electric generation services in Ohio. As a “Competitive Retail Electric Service” provider, FirstEnergy will supply the electric generation to AEP based on your usage. AEP then delivers the electricity to you. You still receive only one bill, from AEP – and that bill will be a lot lower!

Right now BX members are being offered a guaranteed rate through June 2014.  That means no rate increases for three years!

Get a preview of your savings:

Before you commit, Volunteer Energy has a quick way to preview your savings.  With your electric bill in hand, go to the home page of the BX website (bx.org) and click on Volunteer Energy’s “Electricity Savings Calculator.”  In about 90 seconds, you’ll see the impact this program can make on your overhead. 

If you like the savings you see, all you need to do is complete a Program Enrollment Form (found right next to the savings calculator) and return it – with that copy of your electric bill – to Volunteer Energy. You should see your savings on your bill within two cycles!
