The
BX Outreach Program builds student awareness of the many
career opportunities in the central Ohio construction
industry - whether they are college-bound or seeking jobs
immediately after high school or trade school.Impact
the future of your industry by volunteering with the BX Outreach Program
The 2008-2009 school year
is now in session and so is the BX Outreach Program. More than 50,000
central
Ohio students have been reached since the program was initiated.
Since its start in 1993,
the Program has worked to improve the industry’s image and motivate
youth to consider careers in construction.
We are always seeking volunteers willing to serve as Outreach speakers.
This opportunity will allow you to make a positive impact on the future
generation of the industry.
It’s as easy as you
make it. Presentations occur during the school year and you volunteer only
when it fits your schedule - whether it’s once a year or several times a
month.
After one BX training
session, speakers visit middle and high school classrooms and present our
structured, 35-minute program which includes a short video and a team
building exercise.
Share the responsibility
of educating tomorrow's workforce by becoming a volunteer for the BX
Student Outreach Program.
